Efrén García Grinda

Cristina Díaz Moreno & Efrén García Grinda are principals and founders of the internationally recognized architectural practice amid.cero9, founded back in 1997 as a collaborative platform that investigates the intersections between architecture, culture and nature. They are professors at the Institute of Architecture at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and have been diploma Unit Masters at the AA for a decade, visiting lecturers at SoA Princeton, design critics at the GSD Harvard, and visiting professors at the IKA at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the SAC Städelschule Frankfurt. Previously, they taught extensively at schools of architecture in the US and Europe. Their work is part of the permanent collection of the Pompidou Center in Paris and has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2010 and 2014. Their projects and writings have been widely disseminated and were documented in 2014 in a publication entitled Third Natures, a Micropedia and an exhibition at the AA, London. A monographic issue on their work has been published in El Croquis and their work on public space was presented in a solo show entitled Vaults Beds Gardens at SoA Princeton University in 2019.
